INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENCE

24.05.2017

Corresponding with pen friends is a great way to learn about another language and culture. It is a valuable activity no matter what level one is at in a foreign language.

While corresponding, children have a great opportunity to improve their language skills, as they have to think in English and know how to express their thoughts in a foreign language.

FCG teacher Nina Ovcharova’s fifth form English students have been corresponding with the children from Lope de Vega International School in Spain for about a year. They share information about different projects at school and about out-of-school activities. They also send each other photos of their families and friends holiday greetings, and small presents such as coins, stickers, postcards and magnets. Spanish children are interested in learning about our culture, customs and traditions.  They are also happy to take part in joint projects and to invite us to visit their country
