INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY: THE POLISH NEWSPAPERS WROTE ABOUT THE FILM PROJECT

18.08.2017

The young people from Cherkasy and Poland are making a Ukrainian-Polish film called “Vitoslav’s Heritage”. In Gazeta Vyborcha we read that the opening night of the film will be in September.

The Ukrainians arrived in Bydgoszcz on August 11, and started the work right away. The shooting of the film will last for two weeks. The project involves the young people from two sister-cities – Cherkasy (Ukraine) and Bydgoszcz (Poland).

“It will be a story of the tragic love between Prince Vitoslav and his beloved.   We have a desire to demonstrate such values as love, friendship and tolerance, and we will accomplish this through the folk dances”, say the organizers.

The script was written by the Polish teenagers under the guidance of the teacher of the Polish language Yustyna Misterkievich, and the choreographer Anna Zhidek, folk group “Kraina”.

The cameraman is a Ukrainian man, Pavlo Hladkov, who is known for his photo exhibition of foreigners who live in Bydgoszcz, “Bydgoszcz Scenes”.

It should be reminded that 8 students from our Gymnasia take part in this project; the leader of the group is I.V.Rozhkov, an  teacher of Math.
